I'm not receiving email. Is my Outlook connected?

Outlook can, in rare circumstances disconnect from the network.

To check whether or not Outlook is connected, look to the lower right corner of your outlook window.

 

 

You should see “All folders are up to date. Connected to: Microsoft Exchange.

If you see a key icon, which may have a “need password’ prompt.

Simply click on the Key, then login with your id & password.


If successful the key icon will be replaced with:

 

You can then verify Outlook is receiving/sending email by sending a test message to your email address.

If the key icon remains displayed, & you are sure your password is correct, then ut is then time to contact the IT helpdesk for further assistance.
